Good for Councilman Ashford.

The roads in parts of his district are terrible, but, hey, those are older neighborhoods, that have tipped, so there is not much sense putting any money into them when there are neighborhoods that are tipping over in the process and those that have not yet tipped need the help much more.

It may not be said that way in public, but the actions speak louder than words, or should it be said lack of actions.

The lack of road repair and or upgrade, sure Lagrange was redone, but what about the other streets?

Take a look around the marina area and ask, do we need more retail space, when there are so many buildings and commercial space available that sit idly by.

The last two images, are my favorite. Trash piled up against buildings, just what visitors to the area want to see.

What can't be seen, was the aroma of industrial smells wafting through the area. Smelled like a nice mix of petroleum, industrial solvents and who knows what else, just adds to ambiance.

"Mr. Dillin plans create a mix of restaurants, retail, and residential development on the once heavily polluted riverfront property."

Retail?

Don't we have enough empty retail space available for any person to set up shop in?

Residential?

What a view. Abandoned houses, vacant commercial buildings across the river, spiraling downward property values.

Restaurants?

There are restaurants in the area already and they do not have enough patrons, now.

There are too many restaurants, too many retailers selling practically the same items, there are too many commercial and residential properties vacant.

So, the plan is, build more, where there is an excess of the same already.

Yup, that's a plan, alright.
