Kattie Bond Director Department of Neighborhoods
City of Toledo
Writes a letter to the editor, to correct the media on the population of Toledo.
"The use of incorrect census population counts by the media paints a false picture of the City of Toledo. Accuracy is critical as media's reporting weighs heavily in shaping our perceptions and decisions."
Well, okay.
Say, how's running and fixing the department going? Ya know, the department that is roundly critized for failing to respond or even have record of complaints about locations in city, going back years.
And while we are at it, how is the fine collection going? The department able to find scofflaws? Or like other departments, which can't find people or business owners, so the fines, along with the expenses are written off, all the while the population of Toledo is kicked around.
The vacant homes are vacant for a reason, people have moved, died, etc. And what of the empty businesses that also paint a less than pretty picture.
Instead of fussing about numbers, get the department tuned up and firing on all cylinders.
